Wish List (view here what has been donated to TPCE already)

If you are in a shopping mood or just feeling plain generous, here are items that we need to start acquiring now. Some of the items on the list are rather pricey and some quite affordable so there is something suitable for everyone's wallet.

The reason that we need these items at this point is that we need matching contributions for government grants. Let's say that we will apply for $200,000 and the matching contribution requirement is 15% - 25%, this means that we need to come up with $30,000 - $50,000 from our own pockets. The good part about this is that it doesn't have to be cold hard cash, it can be donated labor hours or items on this list.

The period of time between a government agency announcing a grant and its deadline is very short, usually 30 - 60 days. This time is very hectic with paperwork and modifying our plans to meet the grant application requirements, it doesn't give us enough time to start requesting donations - the word just doesn't go around fast enough. This is why we need these items as soon as possible so that we are ready with our matching contributions immediately when a grant is announced.

New vs. used: If you have items to donate that are used, but in good condition, we certainly can utilize them and hand you a receipt for tax deduction. The only difference is that we can't use them as matching contributions according to the government requirements. Don't worry about this - we love your used items also! Every item that we don't have to ask money for from the public funding sources makes reaching our goal a lot easier.

And don't forget that shopping is quite affordable and fun at the Taos or Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

When you have items to donate contact Amanda Allalunis at 575-737-9059 or send it by mail to Tres Piedras Community Enhancement, Inc. P.O. Box 7, Tres Piedras, NM 87577 with a delivery confirmation, signature required at delivery.

We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Most donations are completely tax deductible, please consult your tax professional for more information.

This list is not even nearly complete because we are still working on requirements and measurements. It's missing solar panels, voltage regulator and inverters, solar water heaters, pumps, adobe bricks, concrete and many other things. But we will add them as the sizes/measurements/amounts come in.

This is what we need:

As we receive items we will delete them from this list.

Five acres of land anywhere in Tres Piedras, preferably close to Tres Piedras proper with a direct highway access from 285 or 64.

Labor. We need an electrician, plumber, and of course labor for construction. Donate your own personal hours or, if you are a pro, your whole crew!

6000 gallon above ground water cistern. We take any sizes, though, above ground or underground, used or new.  Here is a link to Charlee Myers' website, he is conveniently right here in Tres Piedras.

Bathroom sink, ADA compliant. Click here to view prices and styles at Lowe's. Click here to view prices and styles at Every Faucet. Quite affordable at the ReStores.

Kitchenette sink. Click here to view prices and styles at Lowe's. Click here to view prices and styles at Home Depot. Quite affordable at the ReStores.

Faucets for kitchenette and restroom. Definitely items to get from the ReStores.

Water saving toilet. Click here to see prices and styles at Home Depot. Click here to view prices and styles at Lowe's. Quite affordable at the ReStores.

Sturdy wooden exterior door, minimum of 4 ft. x 7 ft., with frame, fire-rated. This definitely would be an item to get from the Taos or Santa Fe ReStore, but here are wooden exterior doors at Millwork for Less. Arched would be nice but the person paying for it gets to decide the aesthetics.

Coffee maker, energy efficient - we need to be able to turn the hot plate off. Here is one that doesn't have hot plate at all but a thermos instead. This will not qualify towards matching funds but we want one, don't we? It is a tax write-off for the donor.

Furniture: computer tables or desks and chairs.

Any small items like light switch covers, electric outlet covers, toilet paper holder, restroom mirror, what ever you can think of.

Office items, these items are not eligible as matching contributions towards grants but your donation is a tax deduction to you:
